Kaisley’s Story

Written by: Ashely Nicole

Sweet Kaisley was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma back in September 2017. She endured 43 weeks of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation. Her last day of chemo was August 2018. She fought really hard with multiple rounds of chemo and radiation and was finally cancer-free!

Unfortunately, after only 9 months of being cancer-free, the cancer has relapsed and is back. She’s not able to have radiation this time because she had the strongest doses the first time and her little body just can’t handle it. Her only option now is to have her tumor surgically removed which is a very very risky & complicated surgery! She will be in the hospital after surgery for at least a month if not longer recovering and then will start chemo again for 43 weeks or longer. She started chemo again in August of 2019 and finished July 3, 2020. She will have to take an oral chemo pill for one year while also traveling back and forth to Atlanta for blood checks and other check-ups.

Kaisley has two beautiful sisters who are in school while mom and dad are in and out of the hospital. We are so proud of Kaisley for the fight she is fighting and amazed at what a strong girl she is!

If you can help in any way, even just a prayer for Kaisley and the family I know that it will be appreciated. Pray for strength to get through this battle a second time. Thank you and God bless.
